We're Here to help

Jesus and His Teachings at Christian Rehabilitation Centers

As Christians, we are taught to rely on Jesus in times of crisis, to turn to him for answers and guidance. Why would we choose not to call on Him for help when we find our lives being devastated by addiction?

Christian rehabilitation centers can provide what we need— both as addicts in need of treatment, and as followers of Jesus. By the time we are ready to get help, we have most likely reached a point of complete demoralization. We are almost hopeless, certain we are broken, terrified of continuing to live the way we have been living, but uncertain if we can live another way. In our active addiction, we are unable to live in accordance with the teachings of Jesus. We may have even felt abandoned by Jesus, when in fact He was there the whole time. Drugs and alcohol block out the light of the Lord, leaving us wandering in the dark.

Once our body is free from alcohol and drugs, we can start repairing our relationship with God. When we are lost and uncertain of what step we should take next in our recovery, we find that we are no longer alone. We may turn to God for guidance—“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you” (Psalm 32:8).  Christian rehabilitation centers teach us how to call on Jesus as a source of strength, hope, and wisdom. We can turn our fears and worries over to Jesus—we no longer have to carry the burden alone.

At Christian rehabilitation centers, you will learn how the teachings of Jesus often align with the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. Living by the principles of the program of Alcoholics Anonymous and using the 12 Steps in your life will bring you closer to God and, in turn, as you grow closer to God you will find yourself growing stronger in your sobriety.

At Recovering Souls, we have helped countless people get their lives back. Using our broad network of Christian rehabilitation centers, we have been blessed to witness the transformative powers of Jesus Christ and the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous.
